I am not sure but it may be about "Direct Mode" hack. Apple tries to prevent this type of access in every new release of its operating systems. When you reinstall Catalina I created the topic and shared my experience with the community.
Then a user with " RunHomeSlow " nick improved the solution and prepared the final document which explains how to do it step by step to enable Direct Mode. After copying, you should see that only IOAudioFamily. While in the finder, navigate to the folder DirectModeCatalina where we want to open a terminal. Right click on that folder. One of the options is to open a terminal on that folder. Click on it to open the Terminal. So, we opened the terminal on DirectModeCatalina folder. We can check it by typing pwd on the terminal window and see whether the displayed path is the path of the folder , or not.
